As in, “get my emails straightened out with what to say and how to say it so readers will love me and buy everything I write.”
As in, “figure out a workable publishing schedule and marketing plan to sell books without making myself crazy.”
As in, "finally understand who my readers really are — and the emotional hooks that make them buy — to make "selling" books seem effortless."
Schedule a call with Larissa — and get a great discount now, before Winter ends in Alaska — to create leverage, clarity and action with your book marketing plans.
Want to save a spot for later, but worried your schedule might change? You can reschedule any call with me up to 24 hours before our appointment time. All your reminder emails will have an easy link to reschedule, and I'll get all the notices automatically. (Isn't automation great?)
It happens every year.
I don’t know why it always surprises me, but somehow it does.
One day, everything seems normal.
Then all of a sudden, usually in early October, you’ll look across the Cook Inlet and realize, “Hey, wait a minute. The sun changed.”
Throughout the fall, we lose about 45 minutes of daylight a week.
By mid-December, we’re down to just 6 hours of light per day. Better than most parts of Alaska, yes. But it still makes the day feel dark.
The evenings aren’t so bad, really. It’s the mornings that get me.
When it doesn’t even start to get light outside until almost 9am. And those winter mornings start… well, let’s just call it Sluggishly Late.
Now I’d love to say, “Oh, I’m so creatively excited about the latest book I’m writing that I’ll just leap out of bed, eager and ready to go. That’ll be enough motivation.”
Um, no.
That never works. At least not for me. (Tried. Failed. Failed many times.)
Instead, the best trick I've found for dealing with an Alaskan winter (or any challenge where you’re struggling to keep momentum) is to add an external motivator to your environment.
Something external to force yourself to get up and going at a reasonable hour (or tackle that project you’ve been putting off).
This winter I've added a few external forces to my own environment to stay on track.
But the best part?
One of those external forces works in your favor, too.
When I first started coaching author clients, I made the decision to work only with authors who were ready to make the next "big leap" in their career.
With authors who were ready to work with me one-on-one for an intensive time, with a serious financial commitment (usually $5K-10K or more). Authors who wanted to reach high and move fast.
That’s been great, but...
Sometimes you don’t need to make a big leap to see progress.
Sometimes a small step will do.
Sometimes you don’t need to carve out weeks or months for your next project.
Sometimes a quick bit of advice will get you on track.
Sometimes you just need a nudge in the right direction.
If that’s you, this winter is going to be great for both of us.
Because now through late March (yep, Alaskan winters are long), I’m opening daily author coaching spots in the early morning hours.
There’s a big discount for you (nearly 60% off my standard rate)…
Availability in incremental time slots for projects big or small...
To get you on the right track and pointed in the right direction…
To tackle your author mailing list…
To create a clear path forward with your publishing business...
And to help you sell more books.
(Bonus for me: Those early appointments are great motivators to get up and moving at dark-thirty in the Alaskan winter.)

Oh, the question should be what can't we accomplish together? ;)
Unlike structured courses or training programs, personal coaching offers a flexible, custom framework to make sure you get exactly what you need, when you need it... and help you develop the skills and resources you need to sell more books with less effort.
We can work together on projects large or small, discuss one-time topics, mix and match — whatever we need to do to get strategies and systems in place to make your unique writing and publishing business a success (and to fit your own definition of success).
Most of the author clients I work with are looking to create big leverage from reader relationships and email marketing lists (since I've got nearly 20 years of experience there), but any topic related to self-publishing or running a creative business is fair game.
Here are a few specific ideas about how I can help you:
Now, can we do all the things above in just a 1-hour call? Of course not. Don't be silly. But you'd be surprised how much we can accomplish in a short, focused period of time.
Does that list above cover "everything" we might do together? Probably not. I've worked with coaching clients and run creative companies for more than 20 years (with nearly 5 years in the publishing industry). If you have questions about how or what to do on your writing and publishing journey — odds are I can give you a really great answer fast (or point you to a great resource) and save you tons of time and heartache along the way.
See for yourself first-hand, by scheduling your first 1-hour call below. Just click that big green button to check the schedule — and let's make a plan to get your writing and publishing business on track and selling books.
"Winter Schedule" means as long as it's dark and cold here in Alaska, I'm keeping my early mornings open and available for coaching calls with you. (We're already well past the Winter Solstice though, so the sun is coming back fast.)
When I say early morning, that means my early morning, Alaska time. Depending on your time zone, that might be later in the day for you. The easiest way to find out is click the big green "Schedule Your Call" button below, then choose your time zone from the calendar.
Other than the limit on Alaska winter mornings, we can mix and match your coaching schedule pretty much any way that works for you.
As long as it's still winter-dark (around the end of March) and spots are still available on the calendar, we can mix and match and use your coaching time however you want.
Just click the big green "Schedule Your Call" button below to take a look at the calendar and see available options in your own time zone.
Hey, I get it. If you haven't booked a virtual coaching session with me before, the "how does this work" part might be a little perplexing.
Here's exactly how it works, step-by-step:
Easy right? To get started just click the big green "Schedule Your Call" button below to see available days and times in your own time zone.
Want to book now and save a spot for later, but worried your schedule might change? You can reschedule any call with me up to 24 hours before our appointment time. All your reminder emails will have an easy link to reschedule, and I'll get all the notices automatically. (Isn't automation great?)
So you've read all the way to the bottom of the page, and you're still not quite sure?
No worries. Email me and let's set up a quick (and free) 15-minute call to chat about your business and your goals. I'll tell you (honestly) if I can help or not, and we can map out a coaching plan before you sign up.
No risk. No big sales pitch. Just a friendly phone call.
Promise.
