15:00-20:00 Engagement Indicators. The latest benchmarks for author mailing lists, plus tips on where to focus your "engagement building" efforts first.

20:00-30:00 Deliverability Basics. This is a super technical topic and I don't want to get too bogged down, but we'll talk about how to fix common deliverability mistakes that keep your emails from getting to the inbox. Readers can't open your emails if they don't get them, right?

30:00-45:00 Subject Lines. Ah, the topic everyone asks about. What do I put in the subject line? We'll talk about why you should be wary of subject line "formulas" — and then I'll share my own "go to" formula that get readers (fiction readers, especially) excited about opening emails. Yes, I see the irony in that. Heh. ;)

45:00-60:00 Subject Line Practice. Here we'll dig into real-world examples of good and not-so-good subject lines, plus get hands-on practice with writing your own subject lines.

60:00-65:00 Short Break. For extra practice time and/or in case we're running behind. Also, so I can get coffee.

65:00-75:00 Sell the Read, Not the Buy. Many authors sell their books with emails full of discounts, giveaways and freebies —and then wonder why readers treat their emails like a wrinkled up grocery story coupon. What should you do instead? We'll talk about it here.

75:00-80:00 Calls to Action. You've gotten readers to open. You've gotten them to read all the way to the end of your email. Now how do you get them to click? Learn what makes a Call to Action work. More examples here, plus a simple "formula" for writing CTAs that inspires readers to click (and buy).

80:00-90:00 Call to Action Practice. Yep, more practice time and feedback with your own Calls to Action.
